India announces schedule for hosting Australia, Afghanistan, England

India will host Australia, Afghanistan and England in the 2023-24 season at home. The BCCI announced this week on the 25th of July. Totally, India are scheduled to host 16 international matches, which include 5 Tests and 3 ODIs as well as eight T20Is on the home field in addition to playing the ODI World Cup.

India will be the first to be host for Australia to play three One-Day Internationals prior to the World Cup that will help both teams in enhancing and prepare themselves for this giant event. The three ODIs are scheduled to be played on September 22,24 as well as 27 September in Mohali, Indore and Rajkot.

After the World Cup gets over, the series will continue with two teams participating in five-match T20I series which starts at the end of the month on Nov. 23. It concludes on the 3rd of December. The games will be played on the ground in Vizag, Trivandrum, Guwahati, Nagpur and Hyderabad.

After that sequence, India will be playing their first bilateral series with Afghanistan and will host the Afghans for three T20Is starting in January 2024. Mohali, Indore and Bengaluru will host the series, which will conclude on the 17th of January.

England will then travel to India for an international marquee series which will see the two sides play five tests. The series will begin on the 25th of January from Hyderabad and the following four Tests will take place on the streets of Vizag, Rajkot, Ranchi and Dharamsala and the final Test scheduled for the 11th of March.

They also made sure that it was the Tours, Fixtures and Technical Committee assigned the venues according to the BCCI venue rotation policy.
